The presentation is about the process of participatory 3-Dimensional Mapping primarily intended for Disaster Risk Reduction and Management. It highlights the various P3DM activities conducted by the Department of Geography and the Philippine Geographical Society in several localities in the Country. P3DM is a community-based and participatory method of eliciting local knowledge for inclusion in action planning by producing a stand-alone 3-dimensional map of the barangay that contains primary data which can be used for DRRM. As such, it proves to be a powerful tool for community empowerment and bridging the gap between local and scientific knowledge.
